About this product
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1 is a battle-style 2-channel controller designed for scratch DJs. It includes Serato DJ Lite and features a built-in mixer, sound card, and USB power. With a frequency response of 20 Hz-20 kHz and distortion effects, it offers portable tempo control and a tabletop form factor. The DDJ-REV1 is optimized for Serato and provides a traditional battle layout with performance pads and crossfader for scratch techniques.
Our take
If scratching is your thing, the DDJ-REV1 is a solid choice. The battle layout puts the crossfader and pads where you need them, and the build feels decent for the price. It comes with Serato DJ Lite, but you'll want to upgrade to Pro for full features. The built-in sound card works well, and USB power means no extra power supply. I wish it had more dedicated effects controls, but the distortion effect is fun. The plastic chassis is acceptable at this price. It's a great scratch-focused controller that doesn't break the bank.
