The Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 is a 2-channel DJ controller designed for Rekordbox and Serato DJ Lite. It features a double deck layout with a tabletop form factor, built-in sound card, and USB connectivity. The controller includes one microphone input, 2 decks, and 2 channels. With a maximum sampling rate of 24-bit at 44.1 kHz and a frequency response of 20-20000 Hz, it delivers quality audio. The compact black design is PC and Mac compatible. Priced at $329.00, it's a budget-friendly entry into the Pioneer ecosystem.
Our take
As a long-time Pioneer user, the DDJ-FLX4 feels like a logical entry point. It's lightweight and easy to set up — just plug USB into your laptop and you're good to go with Rekordbox or Serato Lite. The jog wheels have decent tension, and the pads are responsive. I appreciate the built-in sound card for quick sessions. However, the build is all plastic, and the faders are a bit stiff. There's only one mic input, which is fine for basic use. The lack of XLR outputs means you'll need adapters for pro speakers. It's a capable controller for learning, but serious performers will want more.
